Our story
​
We didn't set out with the intention of creating The 321 Effect, it kind of gradually just happened.
We were just an average married couple (we still are by the way) but after years of my husband suffering with work related stress and anxiety, and me suffering with disordered eating and mild depression it became really apparent that if we wanted to be truly happy and mentally and physically healthy that we needed to do something about it.

We started reading self-help books and trying new things such as hypnotherapy and meditation, we became a lot more aware of our thought patterns and negative behaviours and the more aware we were the more we were able to create positive thoughts and behaviours.

Our entire lives changed completely!

We no longer had huge rows over trivial things, we didn't come home after a not so easy day and take it out on each other, we didn't worry about upcoming situations or dwell on past events.
​
We spent time doing the things that we loved doing, we appreciated everything that life had given us, including each other. Our lives were no longer clouded by mental health problems, we were making our physical and mental health a priority. We were free and we were happy.
​
Our friends and family started to notice a real difference in both of us, and we were always listening to other people's problems and giving advice. I even started a weekly support group so that I could help others who were going through what I had gone through, but we wanted to do more.
We wanted to offer guidance and advice for anyone struggling with mental health issues, financial difficulties, relationship problems, disordered eating and many other things that were having a negative impact on their lives.
So we started writing about what we had learned and everything we had used to change our lives so that we could share our stories with others, and that's how we created The 321 Effect.

There is a large emphasis on food and the way we eat, that's because we believe that if you want to be truly happy and healthy then it's imperative that you make your physical and mental health a priority, and become more conscious in your overall life. However The 321 Effect isn't a typical diet or exercise plan, it's more about embracing life and looking after yourself. It can teach you a different way of looking at food and give you the tools to make great choices and feel healthy and happy forever.

You are encouraged to be more active and to eat a variety of food (especially those foods that you really fancy) and to not feel like you are ever "on a diet." You only live once and as important as it is to be physically healthy, it’s equally as important to enjoy life and be mentally happy.
​
The 321 Effect will allow you to love the food you eat without feeling guilty or deprived. It will help you to create positive habits, a healthy relationship with food, an active lifestyle and a body that you love, whilst living your life to the fullest.
